Hi there! I'm Isaac Durazo
I’m a senior designer born in Hermosillo, Mexico and currently based in Southern Arizona. I value inclusion, accessibility, openness, and transparency. I enjoy solving interesting problems through design and creativity.
I graduated from Universidad del Valle de Mexico with a Bachelor's in Graphic Design in 2008. In 2010, I moved to Boston, MA with the idea of spending a year there to study and improve my English. Without planning it, I landed my first job at a tech startup where I spent 2 years designing mobile games.
In 2012, I joined Bocoup, a software development consulting agency, where I've been working as a UX/UI Designer with clients such as Meta, the W3C, Twitter, the UN, MIT, Mozilla, and more.
I'm one of those "Designers who code". I started designing websites using Flash (and ActionScript) and HTML tables while still in college. Once I discovered I could also build what I designed, I could never stop. My technical skills make me particularly equipped to act as a bridge between design and engineering teams. I use my diverse background to make quick and informed decisions.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two kids, and two dogs. I also enjoy other creative outlets such as playing music, drawing, painting, cooking, and grilling.
